Daylily Collection
The Daylily Collection sits between the main entrance and the Hosta Garden in an area once overrun with poison ivy and brambles. Striking lilies bob on slender stalks above a jungle of lush, susurrating leaves. Staggered blooming times and repeat bloomers offer a mass of reds, rusts, apricots, and yellows from summer to early fall. The Daylily Collection was designed by Sue Whitcomb in 1996; the plants were donated by Fred Knippel.
