Volunteer Opportunites at the Acton Arboretum

Volunteering at the Acton Arboretum can be fun and gratifying. People with all levels of ability volunteer, such as Scout troops, faith groups, students, senior citizens, master gardeners, and families. Volunteers meet groups meet from April 1 to December 1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM-12 noon. 

Activities include weeding, shoveling, mulching, raking, pruning, planting, and watering. Activity level may be modified to ability. Please email the Acton Conservation Division, Conservation@actonma.gov, to join the Arboretum’s volunteer program or for more information.

Tools are provided. Volunteers bring their own work gloves and water to drink. Hazards are heat, poison ivy, stinging insects, dogs and dog waste, thorns, ticks. Please contact us with questions.
