Rhododendron Garden

The Rhododendron Garden is located just southeast of the main lawn, past the Sun Pond. This garden was designed as a rhododendron meadow on the edge of a wetland. Keep an eye out for two species of deciduous evergreens: a water-loving bald cypress and a pair of dawn redwood trees, the roots of which help anchor the rhododendron bushes. In the spring, the rhododendrons bloom with crepey pink and fuchsia flowers.
